Art received his law degree, with Honors, from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. and became a member of the Bar of the State of New Jersey in 1982.
Art has been practicing with Wiley Malehorn Sirota & Raynes since 1982, first as an Associate and then as a Partner. He heads the firm's litigation practice and has tried cases in state and federal courts throughout New Jersey and in other states as well. For the last five years, Art has been named a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers1 magazine and has been selected as one of the top 100 lawyers in the State of New Jersey. Art's successful defense of First Morris Bank against employment discrimination charges was covered in its entirety on Court TV. He spends the majority of his time litigating commercial, personal injury, and employment discrimination matters. Art serves on the Civil Practice Committee of the Morris County Bar Association.
Since 1988, Art has summarized the latest developments in the area of commercial law in the New Jersey Law Journal's annual insert "N.J. Supreme Court Year in Review". Art serves on the Civil Practice Committee and is the Chair of Employment Law Committee of the Morris County Bar Association.
Art is a contributing author to the "Library of New Jersey Civil Complaint Forms." The New Jersey Law Journal called upon leading attorneys to provide different litigation forms and strategic advice in various areas of civil law. They also provided checklists for civil practitioners. Art was chosen to provide the materials for the subject of commercial law.
Art created and runs the Saturdays in Motion Program at the Somerset Hills YMCA. This is a recreational program for autistic children and their families. This is the eighteenth year of this award-winning program.
Art lives in Somerset County with his wife, Pat, and three sons.
